What To Wear With Your Fall Boots

So I know it's still August, but I can't help thinking about fall fashions which undoubtedly include boots! Now I am a boot lover! I have them in several different colors, heel heights and styles and I love their versatility.

I wanted to show you a couple different outfits with black leggings and tan boots. Now I used to be all about the "never wear black and brown together," but now I am in love with the combo.

The dress I have on is from Old Navy and the boots are Steve Madden.  I LOVE these boots! They are so comfortable and can be worn with the tops folded down as well. I'm usually a heel girl, but I love the look of low-heeled boots with leggings.

This gorgeous handbag is the Adrianne Satchel with Key Loop Pocket by Melie Bianco in tan. Make sure to "Like" their FB page HERE. I can't say enough about this satchel! It's perfect for fall! I am also excited to be giving away an Adrianne Satchel filled with jewelry, cosmetics, makeup bag, day planner and a few other surprises. Make sure you "Like" Life Songs Of A Busy Mom's Facebook for more info. about how you can win this bag filled with goodies!!!!

Here's just a wrap sweater, black leggings, boots and handbag. Simple chic and easy to throw together.
Wrap sweater from New York & Company.

So here's a simple tee shirt with a faux fur wrap. You can also throw on a cute cardigan with a belt or scarf. Cute, comfy, casual.

So this last look is a striped top, chunky scarf, leggings and boots. Play up any outfit with fun jewelry and a sexy handbag.

Above all, wear clothing that makes you feel confident! You may not be able to pull runway looks out of your closet on a daily basis, but having confidence will not only make you feel great, you'll look great too!
Don't hide behind your clothes, let them help you shine! :)

Eyedews Under Eye Gel Pads

Oh my goodness gracious do I love me some Eyedews! I first heard about these amazing little wonders from super stylish blogger Vanessa Pilar Grannis at Shopping Savings & Sequins. The wonderful people at Eyedews were gracious enough to send me some to review and I don't know how I'm going to go a day without them!

Eyedews (as stated on their website)
are "Gentle and natural, this all-in-one single-step regimen effectively corrects all that plagues your delicate under-eye skin. Eyedews are nutrient rich jelly pads of Natural Marine Collagen Infused with Hyaluronic Acid, Chitosan and Vitamins C & E  to combat free radical imbalance, sun damage, discoloration, dry skin and wrinkles in the troubled skin under your eyes.  This single use under eye treatment will soothe and smooth your beauty woes, and relax and return you to a more energized, youthful state."
These babies will quickly become your new best friend.

I wanted you all to see them in action so here is my YouTube video review for Eyedews:

As always, let me know what you all think by dropping me a comment below. :) Thanks!

Blinc Mascara Review

I am always on the lookout for a great mascara. I have short eyelashes and I have the hardest time finding a mascara that makes them look super long and won't smudge of flake all over my face.

A fabulous Facebook fan suggested I try Blinc mascara. I ordered it from Amazon  (25% off retail), and I couldn't wait to give it a try. The mascara creates tiny no-smudge, water-resistant "tubes" around your lashes that won't run, smudge, clump or flake, even if you rub your eyes.
Hours and hours will go by and your mascara will still look flawless.
There is no need to buy makeup remover either. When you are ready to remove the mascara, just use warm water and some gentle pressure (like in the shower with your fingertips or washcloth) and the tubes will slide right off of your lashes. Perfect for sensitive eyes as it has been clinically tested to be non-irritating.

Here is a photo I took after I applied Blinc mascara to just one eye. (I have two different colored eyes so I used a black an white photo just to make things easier lol).  As you can see, it's pretty hard to see my upper lashes at all without any mascara. After I applied the Blinc mascara, my upper lashes almost hit my inner brow. This makes me one happy customer!

Here is a photo with Blinc mascara applied to both eyes (You can click on the photo to enlarge).  I simply LOVE this mascara. I love how long-lasting it is, how easy it is to remove and above all I love how my lashes look after I apply it.

I definitely recommend it and here is Blinc's Facebook Page  and an informative YouTube video if you'd like more info.

Blue's Clues 1st Birthday Party

In just a little over a week my twin boys Liam & Jude will turn 2! I can not believe how fast time flies! As I was reminiscing about their 1st birthday party I thought, why don't I blog about the party and the decorations in case anyone is interested in a Blue's Clues party. I know it took me weeks to find and make everything that I wanted for the party, so here are the photos and info. about everything I had there.
The Cake:
Of course I have to start with the focal point of the party decor. This cake was made by a dear friend of mine who I am praying opens up her own bakery someday. She is truly gifted and her cakes are not only gorgeous, but they taste AH-MAZING!

The Cupcakes:
These adorable Blue's Clues cupcakes were also made by the same talented woman who made the cake. The cupcakes without the Blue toppers were made by Cake Art.

Blue Clue's White Chocolate Lollipops and table decor:
The Blue Clue's Chocolate Lollipops were made by my mother and myself. I found the molds on Ebay and the chocolate and sticks I found at Wilton.com.
The Handy Dandy Notebook is from the Etsy shop AuFoyer, The Pail bucket is from the Etsy shop CraftsForKids, and the yellow shovel is from the dollar store.
The small paw print cakes were made by my friend and the birthday hats are from Mud Pie, although they have a different style of hat now.
The blue confetti I made myself out of blue card stock.

Blue's Clues Plush Animals, Mailbox and Candy:
The Mailbox card box I made myself out of cardboard, construction paper, Duck Tape and paint.
The Blue's Clues Plush Animals I found on Amazon.com, and the blue and white candy are York Peppermint Patty Pieces.

Balloons, Banner and Blue's Clues Shirts:
The Blue's head balloons are from Balloon Maniacs., and the blue star balloons are from Ebay.
The name banner I made myself out of card stock and white ribbon.
The twins' shirts were custom made by an Etsy shop that is now closed. You should be able to find other shops who make them though.

I also served Blue Kool-Aid as well.
I decorated the outside deck with balloons and blue paper lanterns that I found on Ebay.

Here is the birthday invite that I made for them:

LeapFrog LeapsterGS Review

LeapFrog was gracious enough to send my soon to be 5 year old daughter the new LeapsterGS free of charge to review and boy was she excited!

She also owns a LeapPad and the new LeapsterGS has a lot of the same great features of the LeapPad (Built in camera/video, motion-based play, touch screen, tons of great educational games and apps) for less money.

The games and apps are great, the system is not too bulky and easy to hold in little hands. I guess my only complaint I would have is that you'll be replacing batteries a lot, however, LeapFrog has an AC adapter for $12.99 on their site, so that solves that problem. I love the new sleek design and the graphics are as good as any. This really is a great gaming system.

If you're looking for a great, educational gaming system for a great price, I would definitely recommend the LeapsterGS.

I could go on and on about how much I love LeapFrog, but I'll let Grace tell you her thoughts about the LeapsterGS:

Thank you so very much LeapFrog for the LeapsterGS and the games. All opinions regarding this product are completely my own (and my daughter's).
