LUNA Bar Debunking The Diet Webisodes & LUNA Fiber Bars Giveaway!

I'm a big LUNA bar fan. They make some really tasty and healthy snack bars and recently came out with their new LUNA fiber bars!
I was able to try all three of their fiber bar flavors, and I must say I like them all. If I had to put them in order of preference, I would say my favorite by far was the Chocolate Raspberry. Raspberries, chocolate crumble and chocolate yes please!
My next favorite would have to be the Vanilla Blueberry and then the Peanut Butter Strawberry. The Peanut Butter Strawberry kind of threw me off guard, but it's actually pretty tasty.
Besides being tasty, these bars are pretty darn healthy. Packed with 7 grams of hunger-curbing fiber, the '4 Core' combo of calcium, iron, folic acid, and vitamin D, and they're 70% organic.

LUNA's New "Debunking the Diet" is a web series that breaks down diets, one myth at a time.
Episode 2 entitled "Why Fiber Is Fabulous" tackles fiber fact and fiction. Make sure you check it out and make sure to enter below to win 6 LUNA Fiber Bars for yourself!

Downy Unstopables In Your Tart Warmer

Here's a great idea I found on Pinterest. Purchase a container of Downy Unstopables in the scent of your choice (I chose Shimmer), and pour some of them in your tart warmer.
I probably used too many in this photo as just a little goes a long way!
You house will quickly fill with these amazing scents that will last and last. I find I like using these better than scented wax tarts.
For around $6 you'll have enough to last you months and months. The best part, is when you are done using them in the warmer, just toss them in your wash for fresh laundry!

Now I am certainly no chemist, but I did want to look up the ingredients and their toxicity.
(Downy has not tested their product in warmers so they can not give stats on this type of use, so use at your own discretion)

The ingredients of Downy Unstopables are:
Poly Ethylene Glycol, The fragrance and the dye.

Poly Ethylene Glycol has a very low toxicity and is used in many products you use daily including most detergents, laxatives, skin creams, toothpastes, antiperspirants, etc.
You are melting these ingredients and not burning them, so it's basically the same as when they get on your clothing in the wash and you're breathing in the perfumes and ingredients from your clothing after.
However, if the fragrance would bother someone's allergies, then of course don't use it.
Also, a natural, essential oil is always the healthiest option for home fragrances.

Label Land Review & Giveaway!

I had yet to find a label that I could put on my twins' sippy cups that would stay on for more than one washing.

Everything I've tried before just peeled off, or if I used permanent marker, that washed off as well..until now!

Label Land has the best labels out there, and I am especially thrilled with their waterproof labels!

Just stick them on anything you want labeled and they'll never peel or wash off. They are even dishwasher and microwave safe!

As you can see from my photo above, after 10+ runs through the dish washer, these labels look as new as the day I applied them. I was honestly shocked!

They also have the cutest Shoe Labels that are great for school, sports or dance. They're also great for quickly distinguishing between my twins' shoes.

Their Bag Tags are super cute. They're extra sturdy and 100% waterproof.

I attached the twins' tags to their little backpacks and my daughter's to her duffel bag.

You can choose all kinds of prints and colors to personalize your child's labels to their liking.

Label Land also offers Iron On Clothing Labels, which are great for school, daycare or camp. Iron them on or even sew them on if you prefer.
Label Land was so generous that they are offering an entire School/Camp Label Pack for a GIVEAWAY!
The pack includes:
A $61.46 value!!!

Kitchen Glam Designer Apron Review & Giveaway!

So how many of us have been making dinner and spilled or splashed ingredients all over our clothing? Or how about your kids messy hands pulling at your shirt?

For years I've said I wanted an apron, but I didn't want one that looked like a grandmother should wear it. I came across Kitchen Glam awhile back and purchased the towel waist apron in the pink and brown zebra print. Click HERE to view.

Here's one of my Instagram photos where I'm wearing it ;) (Sorry that it's blurry)

Well I LOVE it! I love that the apron is made of terry cloth, which makes it perfect for wiping or drying your hands off with.

I was so excited about the waist apron, that I had to try out the full apron. It's perfect! I chose the Womens Pink Cupcake Apron. It's just so cute and cheerful; I love it!

I'll also admit I love the look on my husband's face when he comes home and sees me cooking in it. It's one of the few times I don't mind looking like a 50's housewife.

The apron features an empire waist that sits just below the bust line, a super-sized pocket and a removable feather pin (such a cute little feature).

This apron has adjustable neck straps (26" each) and waist ties (34" each). It is 27" from top to bottom with the widest part of the top measuring 15" and the width of the skirt measuring 30".

Kitchen Glam makes aprons in all sizes from toddlers all the way to adults. The aprons also make the best gifts. Give one to your friends or to your bridesmaids if you are getting married. Give one as a housewarming gift, or to your friend who loves to cook. Give one to your daughter who likes to help out in the kitchen.

So make sure you check out Kitchen Glam's Etsy Shop to see all of her available styles of aprons, and make sure you enter the GIVEAWAY below to WIN this Cupcake Apron for yourself! YAY!

Charbonize Leather And Wool Laptop Bag Review & Giveaway!

Charbonize's concept is to be minimal, contemporary and practical all at the same time. Their products are made with natural materials, making the electronic world warmer and more friendly.

Their laptop bag is made with anti-piling and water-repell wool felt, and the handles are made with vegetable-tanned leather.
The laptop compartment inside the bag fits a laptop up to 15".
I do like the feel of this bag as well as the roomy interior. The straps are also very nicely made.
It has plenty of pockets and places to store and organize things so that was a big plus.
My only complaints would be the size of the bag and the protection factor.
As you can see in the photo below, it's a pretty big bag.
My only other complaint is that since it's a wool felt bag, I would have to make sure I was careful not to bump into anything while carrying my laptop inside.
The price tag for this laptop bag is 198 EUR, which comes out to $266 US dollars!

Charbonize was nice enough to offer this laptop bag in a giveaway, so make sure you enter below!

Meet The Hubs (Husband YouTube Tag)

So since Valentines Day is coming up, I decided I'd introduce you all to my husband of 6 years in a fun YouTube Husband Tag.
My husband (Jamie), who is almost 100% sarcastic most of the time, was actually kind of shy in this video (I think anyway).
As much as I joke and jab around with him, he is the king of my castle and I deeply honor and respect him.
So I hope you enjoy this little peek into our crazy/beautiful life!

Crescent Roll Sandwiches For An Easy Kids Lunch

These ham-n-cheese, crescent roll sandwiches, are so easy peasy and my kids love them!
Here's how you make them:

  • Pre-made crescent roll dough (In the little tubes in your grocer's cold section).
  • Meat of any kind. I used ham.
  • Cheese. I used sliced cheese.

  • Roll out the dough and separate the triangles, laying them flat.
  • Place pieces of meat onto the center of the triangular dough. If using chunks of meat, make them on the smaller and thinner side so you can still roll the dough.
  • Do the same thing above with your cheese.
  • Roll up the dough like you would a crescent roll. (You can pinch sides closed if you wish, I didn't).
  • Bake as per the directions on the package.

That's it! Enjoy!
