Disneynature's Monkey Kingdom Review

Disneynature's Monkey Kingdom (rated G) hits theaters April 17th, and for every ticket sold opening week (April 17-23, 2015), Disneynature will make a donation to Conservation International to help protect monkeys and other endangered species in their natural habitats.

“Monkey Kingdom” is the sixth theatrical release for Disneynature, the first new Disney-branded film label from The Walt Disney Studios in more than 60 years.  The label was launched in April 2008 to bring the world’s top nature filmmakers together to capture a variety of wildlife subjects and stories.
My brother and sister-in-law, along with their son Caleb, attended an early screening of the film in Washington DC.

Here is what they had to say about the movie:

"Disney’s Monkey Kingdom is a fun film for all ages.  It’s a creative yet very informative documentary of a macaque monkey’s social class system that takes place in Asia.  Narrated by Tina Fey, her voice over makes the film that much more entertaining.  With their human-like behavior and social issues, you can’t help but relate to these interesting characters.
Following the story of main character Maya, this film documents her struggles with being part of the lower class.  Being born into the lower-class, Maya has to deal with the daily struggles of being in the shadows of her upper-classmates.  At the top of ladder is a male by the name of Raja and his three chosen females that are referred to as “the sisters”.  Maya spends her day scrounging the jungle floors waiting for scraps that fall her way, many days falling asleep with an empty belly.
This story takes a turn when an outside male suitor by the name of Kumar comes into the group and takes an interest in Maya.  He makes a mistake of “crossing” Raja and is cast out from the group.  Months later, Maya gives birth to a healthy baby boy.  Faced with caring for her baby on her own, Maya has to become more creative in looking for food for survival and becomes more “street smart” in the process.
Follow Maya and this group on their journey of love and survival.  This family-friendly film is great for its use of real documented footage of these amazing creatures.  The younger audience is captivated by the monkeys playing and swinging while the mature audiences are enjoying the playfully amusing use of creative voiceover.  Prepare yourself for a fun and silly adventure!"

Sunuva Luxury UV Swimwear And Beachwear For Kids

One of the things I look for in a great kids swimsuit is the UV protection it gives, and of course how cute it looks.
Sunuva luxury swimwear and beachwear was started with two moms' frustration of the lack of stylish UV protective children’s swimwear available.
They started a journey and set out on a mission to create a swimwear and beachwear line which was not only super stylish and cool but also kept their kids safe in the sun.
Sunuva UV rash vests are made from Italian fabric providing 50+ UPF for your kids. UPF is a measure of the UV Protection Factor given to the skin by a fabric. A UPF rating of 50+ gives excellent UV protection, blocking out 97.5% - 98% of the sun’s rays. The high quality fabric used also meets the stringent and highly respected Australian and New Zealand sun protection guidelines (AS/NZS 4399:1966).

Sunuva offers swimsuits, rash vests, baby floatsuits, hats, shoes and many accessories.
Grace is wearing the Birds Of Paradise Bikini
This pretty aqua blue UV rash vest with puff sleeves features a gorgeous Birds of Paradise print in the silhouette of a fan, finished with soft pink and green tassels and cute wooden buttons. Made from breathable UPF 50+ fabric, which blocks out 97% of the sun’s harmful rays, this rash vest is perfect for girls who dream of summer adventures.
This aqua blue halter neck bikini features the pretty birds of paradise print with cute frill detailing. Made from UPF 50+ fabric, which blocks out 97% of the sun’s harmful rays. Whimsical beach adventures await!
I just love the little ruffle cute!

The twins are both wearing the boys Nautical Blueprint Rash Vest and
Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s sketches, this boy’s UV protective rash vest in navy and white features a bright neon yellow and white blueprint. Made from breathable UPF 50+, which blocks out 97% of the sun’s harmful rays. A modern twist on the classical nautical look, perfect for adventures on yachts!
This is Jude. He's my little redhead, so rash vests are a must during the summer. I love the protection they give him.

So head on over to Sunuva and check out their swimwear and beachwear. I know you'll love everything they have to offer!

Beautyrest Recharge Hybrid Mattress From FurnitureLand

About 4 months ago, my husband and I were in the market for a new mattress.
We walked into FurnitureLand, in Delmar, DE and began trying out some mattresses.

We spoke with Justin Barnes, who suggested we try lots of different options from memory foam type mattresses, to plush pillow-top coil mattresses, to hybrid mattresses.

A Hybrid mattress is the best of both worlds. It's essentially a coil and memory foam mattress all in one.
I am not a big fan of memory foam mattresses, but I know some swear by them. My brother owns one, and I just never thought it was very comfortable (we slept on it many times when we stayed there).
My husband and I used to own a big pillow-top coil mattress and we loved it, but as we both get older, we both agree we need a bit more support.

Enter the Beautyrest Recharge Hybrid mattress (in luxury firm)!
The Beautyrest Recharge Hybrid design is a fusion of AirCool® Memory Foam with Micro GelTouch®, legendary Beautyrest® Pocketed Coil® technology and proprietary AirCool® Design.
We instantly fell in love with this mattress.  It wasn't too firm, but still gave us the support we could feel. It also wasn't too soft where you felt like you were sinking into the mattress.
The longer we laid on the mattress, the more it conformed to our bodies and I could feel the pressure being taken off of my back.

We were sold!
Because FurnitureLand is the only furniture store on the Eastern Shore to offer same day delivery, we were able to enjoy our new hybrid mattress that very night. We waked into the store around noon, and by 7pm the mattress was placed in our room. Now that's how you mattress shop!

I will say it took a week or so for the new mattress to "break in" so to speak. I was a bit worried at first that it seemed too firm, but I'm happy to report that it quickly adjusted to our bodies and is absolutely perfect! And when we get up, there isn't any dips where our bodies were.
It also offers air cool foams to help dissipate heat so you aren't sweating all night long.

So if you are in the market for a new mattress, I HIGHLY recommend the Beautyrest Recharge Hybrid mattress from FurnitureLand.

Here's a great video where you can see inside of the mattress to see what makes this mattress so unique.
I hope this review was helpful and here's to a better night's sleep!

The Look For Less - Spring/Summer Nautical Outfit

A couple of weeks ago I was sent an email from featuring this Spring/Summer outfit.
I instantly fell in love, and headed over to their website to order the entire outfit.
I love all things nautical, and I also love the green army-style jackets that I've been seeing around lately. Well much to my dismay, the total cost (before shipping) for the entire outfit was $233.50!
I decided I would try to find as many of the pieces as I could elsewhere to complete the look.

As you can see above, I found all of the pieces for $69.25 (before shipping)! Now that's what I call a deal!

Here's where I found everything:
The navy boat-neck top was from Target and I paid $10.20 for it. I ordered a Medium (I'm 5'5, 120).
They are all sold out of the one I bought, but they have this one pictured for $12.00 HERE.

I found this army-green jacket on Ebay for $26.35 (new) HERE.
I just love this jacket. It's light enough to wear all of Spring and Summer.
I purchased a Medium.

Now I did end up buying these shorts from Nautica, however, that was only because I received a 40% off promo code on April Fools Day. That made the total cost of the shorts $32.70.
I ordered a size 2.
I did look many places for navy and white striped shorts, however, none of the ones I found fit the bill. So I was super happy to score these at 40% off. And let me tell you, these may be the most comfortable pair of shorts I have ever owned. I will be going back to to get more of their canvas shorts in different colors.

So that's the whole outfit for $69.25! I saved $164.25!

I hope you enjoyed this post and please let me know if you'd like to see more of The Look For Less on the blog!
